Imagine – may God protect you – that this man who appears in the photo, calm and simple in his dark suit, his long prayer beads, his papers and his pen, is an Iraqi thinker coming from the land of palm trees, with sixty‑five books to his name!
And imagine that this man loved Iraq and the Iraqis with a passion, and embodied this love in two great goals:
The first: achieving Iraq’s independence and sovereignty.
The other: that the Shiites should obtain their rights after long years of marginalisation, deprivation, and exclusion – all of this framed within a single national identity that does justice to everyone without exception!
Imagine all that giving took place without media noise, without spectacle, without armoured vehicles!
True is the Great One who said: “Indeed, our Shiites are created from the surplus of our clay and kneaded with the water of our guardianship.”
